@version mismatch Yes, that's quite odd then... Perhaps you have curl installed somewhere in the standard paths (/usr/include, /usr/local/include) and that takes precedence over the specified path? Just guessing here. Anyway, the error where it actually stops at is that it cannot load src/modules/c...

Yes, we're using remote includes. I had figured that the crash was a direct result of that, but I didn't know what was going on since I specified the exact directory of curl. I'm not sure why it would compile for 7.11.0 when we have 7.10.5 on there. [EDIT] I just tried recompiling... again... and no...

Problems booting after recompiling
Hi. I just recompiled my ircd after upgrading some libraries, and now it won't boot. When it boots, it gives me this: [digtox@server1 Unreal3.2]$ ./unreal start Starting UnrealIRCd [!!!] Curl version mismatch: compiled for '7.11.0', library is '7.10.5' [!!!] Header<->library mismatches can make Unre...

Either way, the problem is resolved now. There wasn't any true way to block the bots - I talked with the attacker and he said he had everything customized and fully changeable on the fly. The best we could do(since we use Anope) was block all incoming connections and mass-kill based on some common d...

Heh. You're rather cryptic. Sorry, I don't know very much more about it than what I told you. You don't even know what the bot is called, how can we tell you how to detect it? :p there are hundreds of different bots that don't respond to a CTCP Version. I was hoping there was simply a way to detect...

CTCP Version replies and blocking bots
I have a question. Recently our network has come under attack from bots which don't reply to a standard CTCP Version, is there any way I can block them with Unreal, or do you guys know any other solutions to blocking them?

2. /redirect for Server admins (a-la PTlink IRCd, VERY useful. Will redirect clients on one server to another one so long as there are c/n lines for it.) Indeed, this just sends RPL_REDIR. This is a suggestion to the client, a client can (and many do) completely ignore this message. Others treat it...

Rules/MOTD files
I feel incredibly stupid for asking this, I probably overlooked something simple, but here we go. Is there any special format or identifiers that the rules/motd files have to have? I've checked the documentation, and it seems that the only requirement is that the files be named ircd.rules and ircd.m...
