it's can_override not set_override

*edit* It also looks like you only rehashed the Services config file?! Try /quote rehash on your irc client.

Did you create an alias called 'oper'? I wouldn't have thought it would be able to override the main oper command, but, you never know.

Yes, you should use the config file designed for your specific version of Anope. It appears you are using a 1.7.10 config file with 1.6.4 or 1.7.8 or earlier.

Upgrade to 1.7.10, and these issues will be gone.

There are no shell providers that would give out free IRCd shells in their right mind, and if they are, they are usually hosted on home cable connections that can't stay up for more than a few days. You might as well just pay a few dollars a month for a shell account. They provide some form of stabi...

I guess this is the time I hide then? :P As well as Syzop being on vacation, the day this all kicked off, was the day I was away on vacation too. It began on the 11th July, when we identified an issue with the server. This was fixed on 12th July by a re-image, and an upgrade to RHEL. During the back...

Took me a while, but I borrowed alot of source from other files, plonked it all into one file, and it works.

(I didn't hack at the main Unreal files, because I didn't want to lose my support ;))

Command-Line mkpass for Windows

Heyho, For reasons best known to me, I was looking for the equivilant of ./unreal mkpass in the windows version of Unreal. After looking through the ircd.c I noticed that the mkpass section was #ifndef _WIN32'ed. Is there any command-line utility available that'll make nice hashed passwords for use ...

There's also a reason why they say don't post entire config files. You just pasted your cloak keys, and UserKey values, as well as your IP Address. You should change those now. Have you rehashed Unreal after setting the link block? Does the ServerName value in services.conf match that in the line 'l...

1) Start anope with: ./services -debug -nofork
2) Look for the line starting ERROR (if there is one)
3) Paste your Unreal link block, and RemoteServer, ServerName from services.conf

Funny how the last column reads '32-bit Windows' for 2 of them. I'd have thought that was a dead giveaway.. but shrug.. :)

It appears that Windows 98 is being used here. Anope for Windows may work on this operating system, but the Anope team do not support any non-NT based windows OS'es.

We took this decision last week, as several issues arose, that were resolved by using NT based systems, such as 2000 and XP.

And now you won't get any support. I will reiterate this again, there is no sane reason to have raw enabled. Everything you could possible want to do either exists as a command, or can be coded up easily in a module, which is more secure, and less prone to 'abuse'. Raw has the ability to do nasty th...
