By linked to a network he means the server is configured to connect to other servers so that users on other servers can communicate with users on the local server. Anyways, can you post as much detail as possible about your server? Try posting the service.txt file from your unreal3.2 directory so we...

Ok, thanks for the replies. Those are some good ideas, although does anyone have a good list of oper rules. I have some generic ones in mind but more strict rules would help. Now this is kind of off topic from my original reason for posting this, but what about a BOTMOTD, i've never really been able...

What would be a good opermotd?

I was recently writing the motd and rules files for a server, and i was thinking "I know unreal supports an opermotd, so i think i should make one". But what should I put in it? Unreal Commands? Snomasks? Current Opers? Anyone have some suggestions?

I've never heard or had expirience with this at first hand. Are you looking in the wrong window? Make sure you're looking in your status window if you use mirc.

Version Spam filter

I was wondering if it is possible to setup a spam filter to kill a client that doesnt respond to a CTCP VERSION. I'm almost 100% positive that it is, but i am unable to find it in the documentation. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

bahamut does add them to the config file. i said that i would give them access to an included klines.conf file for unreal if i were to want them to be able to add klines that way. I say that because i wouldnt want them having access to the actual unrealircd.conf for obvious reasons.
