Hmm. Thanks for the reply Solutech. ;)

I just did a search on all my configs and cant seem to find anyplace where i'm supposed to edit this to correct this. Should i take it for face value and actually delete a file from the lib folder??

Any idea what this is? allow database access?

I know this is probably a service related issue, but i'm posting here in the hopes that someone can help me understand what is going on here. Please forgive me if my post is in the wrong spot or if you want to stone me to death! I've had services running perfectly for over a week now, with Unreal. A...

Unrealircd & services + AVG on win system

I'm posting this as a reference to anyone who attempts this in the future. If i would have come across a topic like this it would have helped me greatly, so i'm posting in the hopes that it might help someone in the future from making the same mistake. The full discussion is here: http://www.service...

I just started exploring DCC on my server (self-hosted) and i came upon the same problem... They weren't working at all, yet they worked fine the last time i was on my copy of mirc on a different server. Well, i went through all the config files and read about the denydcc block and allowdcc block, a...

My version of mirc does, and always has, supported this command. Its been a while, but i believe i scripted it into an alias a long time ago. In fact, i have special scripts written for the handling of such a command and they work fine when i am not an IRCOP. When i give myself ircop privilages the ...

Version Command

I've got a question. I've noticed that when you are logged on as an IRCop that the normal /version command retrieves some system server information instead of doing the usual /version nick to get user information. Could someone explain to me what is going on and how exactly should an IRCop perform a...

Hehe. I getcha, onesik.

Syzop... the point of the post is for other examples outside of the example configs that came with the package. The more sources one has, the better his potential aquisition of knowledge. 8)

Thanks for the reply, onesikgypo. Now my question for you is...

is it necessary to have all of those flags listed since by default certain flags give other flags? For example:

netadmin, according to the help doc, comes with can_wallops, so is it necessary (or just overkill) to add the flag again?

Operblock Examples, please?

I'm trying to understand the use of the oper block (o line) and i'm wondering if someone could post some examples of operblocks that are in use right now? I learn best by example, and although i've read the documentation, and have my own oper block written up, i'd benefit from seeing how others have...

Gaining Op status, Server commands & real basic stuff

I've spent some time searching through previous postings, as well as reading sections of the fAQ and the help documentation that came with config. Is there a place that i can be referred to to learn some very basic knowledge of how to operate my IRC server? Someplace that doesn't read like stereo in...

Wowsers!

Wowsers!! I downloaded the win32 (non-SSL) version onto a newly built winXP Pro computer and after changing a few things on the config file UnrealIRCd worked! I'm so excited! Yay! I was able to log on using another computer on my network running Mirc. What do i do now? What to do next? I don't know ...
