J has been developed for over three years now and is completly extendable with plugins.

And I used BOPM first time when it has just released first version.

I cannot suggest to use BOPM as its matchmask is too hard.
For example it bans a dynamic IP of a great german internet provider
*.t-online.de

you are right with the flood issue but
it does not disturb j service much.

imagine raw irc commands do not only contain flood modes in row
as the deamon uses multitasking when setting modes.

so in between j service works on with normal functionality and will
not stop due to flood issues ...
