m_rmtkl correct IRC operator privileges

Hello ! Sorry to post here but your git refuse to send me any email, so I can't login... I'm well identified as a netadmin-with-override oper on my network, and when I try to do /rmtkl * *, I got the message "Permission Denied- You do not have the correct IRC operator privileges". I know it has work...

Re: Your clock is 171 seconds ahead of my clock

You can use the /tsctl command to check and/or adjust your time, and use ntp on your servers to force the synchronization of the clocks.

Show us your link block. You may have forgot 2 lines... Here is an example of link block: link target.my.net { incoming { mask 127.0.0.1; }; outgoing { bind-ip *; hostname 127.0.0.1; port 7000; # You may have forget this options { }; }; password "elgiig8qNhgmlkKEMCtz7XETloZAybMdklWduLCeo9JE=" { spki...

Re: Server Help

Hello, You can run unrealircd on any computer, I personnaly use a raspberry PI 2 to test new releases or modules before using them on my real server. And you don't need Win Server 2008, you can use any "recent" windows even if a *nix distribution is better. You can have your friends connected on you...

Re: unreal 4.2.2 and eggdrop

The trouble is in your eggdrop, unrealircd didn't change anything to the protocol.
Do you made any change in your eggdrop configuration ? You propably have to check your TLS/SSL config.

Re: Forced to rename SSL certificate

Well done Syzop, using the absolute path works. I've tried many relatives, and not this, shame on me.
For my defense, the wiki is not up to date, but I don't blame anyone, should I ? :D

Thanks a lot for the solution !

Re: Forced to rename SSL certificate

My block is well configured, I notice the trouble when linking : whatever I did, I had an authentication error. And I noticed that the command is only looking for server.cert.pem, independently of what is set in the configuration file.

Forced to rename SSL certificate

Hello there, I use my own certificate (Let's encrypt), and I didn't rename it. So, when I do the ./unrealircd spkifp , I have errors because it doesn't find the (hardcoded?) conf/ssl/server.cert.pem file. I think it may be usefull to have an option to give the filename, or better having it extract f...

Use fail2ban with unrealircd

Hi there, The "freenodegate" attack is back, and I'm really fed up with it. I use spamfilter and dnsbl to block them, but even if they can't connect to my IRC after being zlined, they came to my server. So I decide to create iptables rules each time a zline is added, with fail2ban. filter.d/unrealir...

IMHO, you're probably being /SHUN'ed in the network.
It's the only command that I know that can stop a user from doing anything, since sending messages to execute basic commands.
I had this idea, but if he's shuned, he can't join any channel.

This doesn't seem to be an unreal trouble if other people can send message. The problem might be your client

Re: Permission Denied

NEVER install Unrealircd (or any IRC related) as root !
Create a separate user and use it.

Re: Unreal 4.2 with Anope 2.0.6

Ok, I found some troubles. link services.dxdhd.com { incoming { mask *@*; /* you'd better use the same IP as in your anope.conf : mask 127.0.0.1; */ }; outgoing { bind-ip *; /* or explicitly an IP */ hostname irc.dxdhd.com; /* same as below: does irc.dxdhd.com point to 127.0.0.1 ? I don't think so p...
