Re: Restrict connections only coming from LightIRC client.

I agree with Jobe1986.
And more: flash will be stopped at the end of 2020 (read https://theblog.adobe.com/adobe-flash-update/), so you have to found an alternative.
Install a kiwiirc on your server and you'll control your connections as you need

Re: Restrict connections only coming from LightIRC client.

Well, seems hard to do: LightIRC sends the user IP, I'm not sure you can get a way to identify a webirc connection. Something you can do is to force the userid param to a known value (something like 'lightirc') and add rules: ban user { mask *@*; reason "Client not allowed";}; except ban { mask ligh...

Understanding server notice

Hi there, I noticed that I don't understand the last info in a connect server notice. Seems to be the connection class, but it's sometimes {0} and sometimes {clients}, depending on the server. When I'm on the same server than the user, I see {client}, and when he connects on a linked server, I see {...

Re: Freebsd12.0 compile error

Peharps you may try with gmake rather than make.
I can't help you a lot, I don't use freebsd, but I had this kind of trouble with debian and gmake helped me.

Re: channel:override:invite:self

Did you invite yourself to #test ? As said in the documentation : Allow the user to /INVITE him/herself to the channel. This is called OperOverride and will make it so the IRCOp can bypass any channel restrictions (eg: +k and +i). It means that with this permission, you're allowed to invite yourself...

Re: channel:override:invite:self

You may try something like: /* Network Administrator */ operclass netadmin { permissions { chat; channel { operonly; see; override { flood; invite { self; }; }; }; client; immune; self; server { opermotd; info; close; module; dns; rehash; remote; description; addmotd; addomotd; tsctl; }; route; kill...

Re: unreal 4.2.2 and eggdrop

The official documentation (http://docs.eggheads.org/) is good, and read all comments in the example eggdrop.conf.
But I never had any trouble with my eggdrops when I upgraded my unreal servers. Or when other networks where I've eggdrop upgrade their servers.

m_rmtkl correct IRC operator privileges

Hello ! Sorry to post here but your git refuse to send me any email, so I can't login... I'm well identified as a netadmin-with-override oper on my network, and when I try to do /rmtkl * *, I got the message "Permission Denied- You do not have the correct IRC operator privileges". I know it has work...

Re: Your clock is 171 seconds ahead of my clock

You can use the /tsctl command to check and/or adjust your time, and use ntp on your servers to force the synchronization of the clocks.

Re: Server Help

Hello, You can run unrealircd on any computer, I personnaly use a raspberry PI 2 to test new releases or modules before using them on my real server. And you don't need Win Server 2008, you can use any "recent" windows even if a *nix distribution is better. You can have your friends connected on you...

Re: unreal 4.2.2 and eggdrop

The trouble is in your eggdrop, unrealircd didn't change anything to the protocol.
Do you made any change in your eggdrop configuration ? You propably have to check your TLS/SSL config.
