when im telneting into my server i have to pong a sequence of letters and numbers or else it gives me
:[email protected] PRIVMSG blablabla :?VERSION?

recently ive been getting people telling me that their hostnames arent resolving correctly. i reconnected to my server and same thing happened to me.

Couldn't resolve your hostname; using your IP address instead

any ideas?

i have setup the conf file and its all ok except this bit.
