Re: 'Clearing up some confusion'
Lol, the mistake of. Interesting, yes I recall that name, I also remember quite a number of interesting conversations with you on similar issues, I find myself interested in the fact you're kissing ass so much now after what I recall, and the fact that you would take stealth's side on all this witho...

Re: 'Clearing up some confusion'
Your response is evident that you're one of the kiss ass people on stealth, considering you've had utterly no involvement in anything of what happened and apparently decided to inject yourself simply because you run a network with a name matching an IRCd title I chose? And what credit did I take? I ...

'Clearing up some confusion'
I like how, rather than get updates about UnrealIRCd, or maybe the fact that they finally found someone willing to put up with their bullshit, Stealth in all his overlord glory has to post about me because of some half stalking douchebag comes and rants about me because I mentioned the fact that wha...

Re: Countermeasures
You can believe that as much as you wish, but there have been people who thought people who downloaded unreal were foolish just for the hell of it in the past, you're not gonna really make any difference with your opinion, lol. Statistically speaking, there's a very good chance you yourself are usin...

Re: Countermeasures
Syzop is not incompetent, he's fixed the issue that much you can be sure of I'm fairly certain.
By not telling anyone exactly what it was it keeps others from trying to be stupid and go through the same vector other ways if anything.

Re: listing channels
Its your client, not UnrealIRCd.
Assuming you are on mIRC you need to, while in the 'LIST' view/window, uncheck 'Hide non-text channels'.

Site Downtime
Yet again we encounter a set back in the form of an HDD failure, so we lost some data unfortunately.
If anyone encounters any issues, let me know, and yes bugs are down at the moment, I left them down to do some side work on them.

UnrealIRCd Development & Future
Upon the announcement of Sts leaving the project , who of course without him there would never have been UnrealIRCd and will definitely be missed (though you can send lotsa cookies to him, maybe he'll come back : P), I figure an update on things will be wise now as speculation is gonna fly I'm sure....

Re: Opers
You can use can_override via the O:Line block, but we don't support any method of auto-overriding a channel to give yourself ops in any channel as its a bit abusive.

Re: XMLSOCKET
XMLSocket is more or less obsolete.
Update your flash development abilities, Flash 9 w/Action Script 3 uses raw sockets now, no longer a need for IRCd side modifications.

Re: how i ban other websites
In the shortest explanation possible, there is no way to technically do it, as any which way you try if a person wants to they'll find a way around it as a person can make a Java client look like a regular client even if they wanted to.

Re: NOCAPS Module Bugs
The bug tracker is freely open to registrations, also noting the module is a 3rd party module, you should contact the module author (can't recall who made that one) or you can post some of the compile errors here. Ah wait no compile errors? I think I had to patch this one myself when I downloaded it...

Re: Hidden opers module?
No. Such modules are no longer supported at all either, they're considered extremely unethical, not to mention fall under the issues that come along with things like the 'spying' modules as well, where it could have potential legal issues as well depending.

Re: SSL Compilation Problem
most likely because you simply copied the files to a regular users folder while its still all owned by root, obviously thats not gonna work ya know? Either chown them properly or just re-extract the source tarball into the regular users directory and do all the compile steps from there, then just co...
