I think anything to be done with color blocking should be done by the irc client and not by the server. but possible try Angry Wolfs adwords module http://angrywolf.org/modules.php?lang=en

Reply: link::hub configure for hub restriction
I think if you can set up the link block to allow the server ya need to connect to each other it should be fine to use /connect when ya need them to connect. Am not sure but i think all the routing is down to the oper(s) of the network. If your oper(s) cant handle that, maybe re-think ya oper(s). Ot...

Your computer will ask the router to assign you and address with the dhc thing. But you can set it to use 192.168.1.1 to assign you an ip address of your choise. i dont use windows so i dont know how to do that on there. humm commonly depending on how many people are behind the router, the ip...

Yeah, by the looks of things its probably your dns. The thing is that if your behind a router the ip address 192.168.1.1 is used to give static router ip address to people behind it, so the connecting to that address from your end will not work. you might need to change to something like 192.168.1.1...

are you using a router? please CrashOverride as i think i know what the problem could be. and Ron2K, the unrealircd configuration file name can be changes in the config.h file and a few people do change it to ircd.conf, "as its alot more easyer".[192.168.1.1] (Ping timeout)

port *; That should be what port your friend has for you, am not to sure about linking servers, but i dont think you both need the same thing that would just cause trouble. *For me it helps to think of it as services*. So if you have the link block for your friend link with your server, and he has ...

You could use the MOTD or Short MOTD and put the notices at the bottom of it so they're the last thing the user see's afetr connecting. I'm using the smotd currently, thanks :) u dont need a module for this? restrict the snomasks for +s +cF and then make sure the opers set it into there oper blocks...

flooded you of irc? I'm not that sure as to how servers connecting could flood people from the server. but you maybe talking about the notices from the server when an other connect(s). You should append your snomasks to protect your self from being flooded with the notices, see http://www.vulnscan.o...
