Oh well, SVSKill isn't really a necessary part of an IRC network. If you think about it, the only reason anyone would need svskill is to abuse someone. :P
Thanks for your help...

SVSKill?

I'm pretty sure that svskill is a services module, but is there any chance that a there is a module with the same functionality of svskill, but for Unreal?

Thanks in advance. :D

Requesting a module

Well, at my network, we've been have a bit of a problematic Oper. You see, he's a pretty good IRC Operator, but he kills a lot of random people. He's very odd... and it's a bit complicated, which is why we haven't unopered him. Is there a module that can prevent a certain operator from killing ...

Please see: http://forums.unrealircd.com/viewtopic.php?t=1945

The module requires the MSVCR7.1 DLL, which is available here: http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?msvcr71 Download that and put it in the Unreal folder (with wircd.exe), all should be OK

Thank you, it worked perfectly ...

Compilining a module

Is it possible for anyone here to compile a module into .dll format for me? I don't know how... I already have a version of the module compiled by a friend that for some reason does not work with my operating system (none of his modules work with my computers), so i was wondering if anyone here ...

Try installing .Net framework 1.1 as well then because if im not mistaken MS Visual Studio 2003 compiles for 1.1 not 2.0

I installed .Net Framework 1.1 before i installed .Net framework 2.0. :?

I think i'll go look around for ways to compile a .c file other than the use of MS visual studio ...

I reinstalled the .Net Framework (version 2.0 with SP1) with no luck.

Maybe if i compiled the module myself, it would work, but i don't know how to compile modules. :(

They were both compiled by the same person using MS Visual Studio 2003. He downloaded the source, but compiled them.

Modules will not load on Windows

For some reason, whenever i try to load any third party module, i always get this message when starting the UnrealIRCd Service: "Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly."

So I go and check service.log, and i see this:

* unrealircd.conf:3: loadmodule modules/netadmins.dll: failed to load ...

I guess you're right, but that won't happen for a while. We only have a user base of about 20 people... :(

I understand what you're saying, Jobe, but that's why i'm saying a smaller network like dldtk is better. You don't get as much spammers, and the IRCops take time to get to know you.

The difference is that our IRCops and other users get to know nearly every user on the network (we can pretty much recite every user's first name at the top of our heads), and we don't get spammers or basically anyone annoying, since we're such a small network. It's peaceful there and you won't get ...

DLDtk IRC

Hi, I hope this isn't considered spamming, because I'm not trying to. I just wanted to tell you all about a network I own a server at (we're kind of in need of users), and it's called DLDtk (irc.dldtk-irc.net). For anyone that wants to come and chat, feel free to speak your mind, since we aren't ...
