ACTION test
/me and /ame are client side, /me generates this PRIVMSG and send´s it to one chan and /ame does a runtrough with all chans your client is in.

Take a look at the options of your client, eg mIRC has an option to strip bold, colour, underlined etc from messages.

First you should use a single OLine for each opers, secondly you can narrow down the allowed hostnames for using that OLine with the oper::from::userhost directive. If you define a OLine for each oper you can set different permission, eg for can_override, depending on the experience and rationality ...

^\.$ should reduce the false positives by 99.999%, (because "." in a regex matches any character)
But the thing is if any user writes a "." he may forgott at the previous line he´ll get banned, too.
