do you have a services package because when services run there checks that would be possible to spike in CPU, for example nickserv might check for expired names or chanserv might be checking for expired channels ethier way if these checks are to often then it would spike the CPU to a high level of u...

anope services allowa you to do this by simply makeing chanserv only availbe to ircops, you can set it ion the conf.

i thought it was possible with rehash which reloads the configuration but i dont know if that applies to linx* but you should be able to do rehash command as oper and it will still do the same thing

To connect useing a domain you have to own it and then forward it to your external ip, and to connect useing your ip just enter your external ip, it is as simple as that.

i just did a quick test and when i commented out alias it says unknown command but if i do /msg alias it get sent because i have it set in services conf. so i still belive that the incorrect error if they are indeed connected

you need to have services and then you can set +a (protect) and that will only allow services to kick a user, chanserv has features to help against people de op others if there are lower in access or whatever. once you have services just do a chanserv help commmand and learn how to put some security...

sorry casper but i usually forget to start services and there for i get that error often, if the error says services down it has nothing to do with installing or alias because if it were ether one of those it would say no such nick/channel.

well the log shows it is trying to find the commands.so module and inless your on linx then you should not have it uncommented.

really all you need to do is make the channel -f and it should allow floding, and if you have services make sure the bot doesnt kick flooders.
