Re: autovoicing users on entry
You might ask for an unreal-module to make it possible to restrict topic-changing to +R(egistered) or +v(oiced) users. Otherwise you could set up an eggdrop which is at least halfoped to be able to set the topic and set a command like "!topic blubb" and the bot will recogize if the user is...

Re: Anope (LATEST) Proper LINK Block
You configured in your unreal configuration to listen on port 7000
in your services.conf you configured connecting to 6667. In the first example you gave us, you had option "zip" enabled which also wouldn't have worked.

Re: good program to make your config nice?
it was a bit irony from me ;) I guess he asked if there is any script or program to set up unreal without editing the confiugfile manually: I was working on such a script but I did it just for m network to set other servers up quickly :D but you also could use cop and paste :D hehe so I'd say: you h...

Re: Anope and Unreal aren't getting along.
and btw:
listen *:7029;
for services isn't a good Idea. use options like servers-only and only listen on localhost for example. maybe you also won't use [enc_none] in anope. Your users will thank you
merry xmas.

You can also use the example.conf and read the comments carefully.

[req] Limit nicklengh in Channel
Hi. I'd like to request a Module that makes it possible to limit acces to a channel with a maximum nicklengh. So every user that is IN the channel cannot change its nick to a one that exceeds the max nicklengh on the channel. user with a too large nick cannot join that channel and while setting the ...

Re: Channel restriction based on connected server?!
hmm local channel wouldn't be bad.
I think of the main server where only my opers are able to join so the operchannel could be local there and it would give me a better feeling .D

You mean you want to REDIRECT a user to another linked server if the user has a certain host?
Why that?

Re: The sense of kicking in times of "rejoin after kick"
yeah youre right we both said/meant the same.
but related to the topic: I would say, that kicking does not really make sense today. setting a timed kickban (some services or eggdrop-scripts do) is currently the same and obviously more effective method.

Re: The sense of kicking in times of "rejoin after kick"
Hmm. +j does not reall fit that. Because for e.g. +j 1:10 allows a "rejoin" after every 10 seconds. so if the user is 20 seconds idling, gets kicked, he can rejoin. You have to kick him again within that 10 seconds. So its not that solution but next to the function +J on U4 seems to be. Ma...

Forum needs "IRC" section :D
Hey I'd liek to suggest an "IRC" Section. There is no Section to talk about IRC-related stuff like I curently tried: http://forums.unrealircd.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=4413
I think an offtopic-section is for unrelated irc/unreal- talks.

The sense of kicking in times of "rejoin after kick"
Hi. This thread is supposed to talk about the sense of kicking in IRC-Channels in this times where most (m)IRC-clients have a rejoin-Feature enabled. Does it still make sense to kick disturbing users out of a channel? The most Time now I'm used to use timed kickbans. for some minutes or hours for ma...
