Ok i got my conf file working perfect. no errors and no warnings.
this is what it says in my logs now when i go to my task manager i dont see the server running at all and i cant connect to it. what am i doing wrong?

ok looking thorugh a few things i checked my service.log file and it says im missing a colan before the close bracket on line 37.. cant find line 37 and i have checked all my clothes brackets and all of them have the semi colon before the closed brackets

ok this is odd.. i have tried everything i know and i can't seem to connect to my server.. the server is on my own personal computer and im running it on windows. i have tried using .server localhost and also /server 127.0.0.1 and all i keep getting is Connection refused.

i have noticed that the hardest part of setting up an IRC server is the conf file.. to me its no so much disorganized but jumbled up. now i have redone it to where it is more legable if anyone wants to look at it let me know and i will send it to you. looks good on notepad but not sure for wordpad ...

i have vista business and i got it working.. it was because i didnt have SP1 installed.. i got it installed and it kicked right in.

i have no idea what could be the problem

well i reinstalled it on my desktop and i still come up with the same error.

permision from where? i have permision from all the folders in there

now i have this error.

yes i did but i just changed the permission of thefolder and got it past that error

i tried that and it doesnt event ell me what my errors are and it doesnt start up either
