I can't because many of my prospective members are underage.

Re: Need remote terminal access software

Just get an ircd friendly host. Google can help you with that. I just may have to do that eventually. I've been with this host literally for years, mainly because of their service. Lately, I've been having problems, UrealIRCD is not the first, so am having thoughts of switching to someone else. My ...

Re: Need remote terminal access software

Just heard back from my host. They do not allow their clients shell access on shared servers due to security reasons. Their solution is to rent me a dedicated server which would cost a LOT more than I'm currently paying.

Looks like I'm going to have to give up my idea of installing UnrealIRCD. :(

Need remote terminal access software

I have my website hosted on a Debian Linux host and am using an iMac for development. I want to install UnrealIRCD software on the host but it appears to require command line access to extract the files and compile a running version of the program. I would appreciate it if someone could point me in ...

https://www.vulnscan.org/product/SQLMod-II Before you ask: yes, it s a paid module. No, there is no free solution or I would have shared it. Seems expensive until you realize that this is basically a one-time option. Once it's installed, that's it, you don't have to keep paying for the service. I'v...

Re: Recent survey

I just found out about the survey when I read about it here. I went and filled it out as best I could based on my previous usage. Hope it helps and hope it doesn't skew the results too bad.

Greetings from an OLD Unrealircd user

I read somewhere that this forum was started in 2004 but I vaguely remember starting and running an UnrealIRCD Chat Server sometime around the mid to late 1990's. I had started teaching basic computer classes and wanted a chat server I had control over for my students. Being such a NOOB ( and I stil...
