IRCdefender & Unreal link module

As you may or may not be aware, there is a 0-day exploit for ircdefender via the InspIRCd 1.2 link module, and possibly Unrealircd as well.... There are reports of other possible exploits in the InspIRCd 1.2 link module and exploits in the UnrealIRCd link module. I couldn't find anything in this for...

pingfreq is the number of seconds between PINGs from the server (something between 90 and 180 is recommended). Possibly a dumb question but... Would increasing or decreasing this number have any affect on the number of users timing out? We seem to have a quite a few users timing out lately. Rpings ...

Just a followup, and for others who might experience this same issue. Restarting the ircd appears to have corrected the problem. Go figure.

Is there any way to force a synchronization of remotely set spamfilters across multiple servers? We have multiple servers with a correct number of filters set, and one which appears to have too many in place.

All servers running Unreal 3.2-RC2fix (*nix) and ircservices-5.0.28
