No blame. The fact that relative paths don't work is a bug that should be rectified. I just wanted to make sure that it was the issue you were encountering :)

Note that what CrazyCat is saying about the problem is limited to the './unrealircd spkifp' command only, not about the set block. Crazycat: could it be that you only tried relative paths? I see an issue with that, since the cwd is changed to the tmp directory. Absolute paths should have worked, tho...

Changed CAP cap-notify support for NEW/DEL so that mIRC no longer disconnects/reconnects for most CAP features unless necessary.

I just realized that we use MD5 also for seeding the random generator. So, yeah, that simple trick of not loading the cloaking module won't be sufficient. It would require code changes in UnrealIRCd to support FIPS-140-2. You could open up a feature request at https://bugs.unrealircd.org/ if you want.

You could decide not to load the "cloak" module. This will disable cloaking which uses MD5 internally.

You do this by adding the following to your unrealircd.conf:

There can be many reasons for a message to be blocked. However, when UnrealIRCd blocks a private message, it will always send a notice or numeric reply about it to the sending IRC client * .
