Now, this certainly isn...

Re: howto add ssl certificate

You can copy some of these files and overwrite your existing pregenerated certs: * Put your wildcard_jenp_net.crt as ~/unrealircd/conf/ssl/server.cert.pem * Put your www_jenp_net.key as ~/unrealircd/conf/ssl/server.key.pem Then do a "/REHASH -ssl" on IRC and test it. Sometimes part of the certificat...

UnrealIRCd 4.2.4 released (also fixes crash issue)

Hi everyone, UnrealIRCd 4.2.4 (stable) is now available for download. This release fixes a crash issue if UnrealIRCd is configured to use utf8 or chinese character sets in set::allowed-nickchars . This is not the default. We don't expect many users to run their IRCd with this enabled, as the utf8 su...

Re: Freebsd12.0 compile error

Indeed, I was able to reproduce your issue and a 'pkg install gmake' fixed it. After that I could run ./Config without problems.

I will see if we can make a check for this and output a clear error with information about what the user should do.

UnrealIRCd 20 years: a look at the past and the future (UnrealIRCd 5)

This month UnrealIRCd celebrates its 20th birthday. I'm involved with the project for 18 years now. I feel dedicated to the project and feel a responsibility to IRC as a whole. Still, I think the people who really deserve a thanks are the people who support the project by running IRC servers, provid...

UnrealIRCd 4.2.3 released

Hi everyone, UnrealIRCd 4.2.3 (stable) is now available for download. This release adds new modules to combat drones, it bumps the default concurrent user limit, and UnrealIRCd can now easily deal with 1 million *LINE's placed on *@IP without any noticeable performance impact. There is also one impo...

Re: Registration Timeout Error

Do you have a failed session from an actual IRC client with hh:mm:ss timestamps for us? (copy-paste here)

Have you set some kind of weird value for set::handshake-delay perhaps?

Re: Forced to rename SSL certificate

No blame. The fact that relative paths don't work is a bug that should be rectified. I just wanted to make sure that it was the issue you were encountering :)

Re: Forced to rename SSL certificate

Note that what CrazyCat is saying about the problem is limited to the './unrealircd spkifp' command only, not about the set block. Crazycat: could it be that you only tried relative paths? I see an issue with that, since the cwd is changed to the tmp directory. Absolute paths should have worked, tho...

Re: Restart Services, User was disconnected

What Jobe says. mIRC did this and this was fixed in a later release, about a year ago:

Code: Select all

mIRC 7.52 has been released! (February 28th 2018)
..
Changed CAP cap-notify support for NEW/DEL so that mIRC no longer disconnects/reconnects for most CAP features unless necessary.

Unsticky now, in favor of the new sticky item: How to use 3rd party modules (and a warning).
