try switching to the DMZ setting and testing it,
i know its very unsecure but in theory that sound work perfectly.

*have u disabled the firewall inside the router?
**if yes, it can still be stopping the connections - if the DMZ is actiavted it`ll bypass the fw.

agreed jobe, likewise i maybe wrong,but the conf example and docs dont show it ever being that way so i tend to think " its wrong if it is " my bad haha

/rehash the server and look for errors,

if theres no errors.
check there is no Ban block and the Allow blocks will allow your ip to connect.

the problem is, when its changed u need /restart the server(s) as a result they will all go down

i was wondering, along side the FAQ we have of course for unrealircd, if there is any chance of a new section added of " FAQ " that isnt on the FAQ already or perhaps most common FAQs added to a FAQ section here? an example is the simple " how do i allow users to be in X channels rath...

i ran a server on XP pro, with 500 users with 5 mirc bots 1 bopm at the same time, 512 1ghz 120hdd, had no problems :)
