Unreal can't resolve it because it times out and switches to a hashed IP. You can set another allow block or change ip NOBODY; to ip 1.2.3.*; or whatever the range for that ISP is.

They probably can't connect because the Unreal can't find an RDNS entry for their IP and they are therefor being blocked by the ip NOBODY;. The only way to fix this is if you know the IP range of the ISP they use. You can add that to the ip NOBODY;.

Can you give us an actual example (or 3) so that we have an idea of how it goes? makes it kind of hard to figure out a spam filter with limited input.

Shining Phoenix the only downfall with doing it that way is that everyone who is registered with ChanServ can join the room.

Set the channel to restricted/invite only. Give your users access to chanserv's invite command then when they connect they can just do /chanserv invite #channel. Unreal does not have a local channels feature at present.

It is not recommended to link different versions of Unreal as this can (and most likely will) cause net splits/chrashes. *If* you do link different versions such as 3.2.6 and 3.2.7 do not do so for any longer than what you absolutely have to. If you are looking to link versions such as 3.2.3 to 3.2....

Sorry bl4st3r but there is no such bug.

On a side note I have disabled guest posting to the announcements forum and have also restricted the people who create topics to Unreal Staff but all registered users can still reply to a topic.
