Well before we decided that this was going to be official I already said phpBB was quite insecure (yes I agree it is, I've seen like >80 bugtraq posts about this in the past 3 years and there are like 20 vulns if not more)... But the thing is... if it's hacked... so what? There's not really anything...

Just a wild guess: perhaps you accidently U-lined all your servers? You should only U-line services. [also need to rehash and relink after changing]

Please use 'Unreal3.2 support' instead, this section is only about (proposals for) adding new spamfilter rules and false positives.

don't think so... AFAIK a regex like 'alpha|beta' is an 'OR' for the word/whatever and not characters (I guess there's [] for that).
so 'Tux (ownz|rulez)' etc...

(tested it too)

Spamfilter updates / LOI worm

From now on I'll mention here if we add a new rule... Just added a rule for a new trojan presumably called LOI... I was a bit suspicious about this report at first (it's April 1st after all), but just confirmed on a sandbox myself that it is real.. exploits an IE/mplayer vuln or something. spamfilte...

First of all I ofcourse welcome such ideas, the more resources on how to use/setup/whatever Unreal.. the better :) Just 1 thingy however: it should never be a reason not to fix the docs on a particular subject or not to submit a bugreport. This might sound obvious but is sometimes forgotten. [yes I'...

Sounds like you were running the ircd without SSL support, then recompiled with SSL support, and then /rehash'ed... that won't work.. you'll have to restart.
[I could be wrong of course, but this one makes sense]

The dalnet exploits team also warns about it: http://kline.dal.net/exploits/ but.... all the mIRC people say it's not true/bogus... Like see: http://trout.snt.utwente.nl/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=bugreports&Number=80256&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=31&fpart=1 And, #mirc on efnet: [22:34:11]...

[rumor] new mIRC dcc exploit (6.14) ? ** False report **

There seem to be some rumors about this, like on http://irc-junkie.org/ and http://www.quakenet.org/
If anyone has some additional technical info that would be helpful so we can add a spamfiler rule (and I could improve AntiDCCExploit)

As codemastr says... that's what +mu does... only ops will see the "<IRC> User: msg" part, it's a feature... It only happends if both +m and +u are set. You can shut it up however by just banning +b IRC!*@* :).

Just experienced (on a network which isn't mine) a spamfilter remove bug too, it just removed the wrong entry (!?).
I hope this is the same bug... assuming it is I now got a reproducable case, I'll put a bugreport in bugs.* and will look into this issue.
