Bah, my problem is being able to afford anything new, haha.

I'll try to see if I can get myself Visual C++ 7 perhaps, that seems to be the average recommended setup or the stuff from your new guide.

Done and installed here o_O

Atleast the one which was required for Visual C++ 6, which was the February 2003 Build of the PSDK. Is there some reason that one wouldn't work, where as it did in the past?

Never really noticed this thread before, I think i'll toss my comments in here now since i've been running an UnrealIRCd powered network for about a year now on all WindowsXP platforms. for the most part we've hit a max of about 100 users I think before, around 90 maybe more accurately, virtually no...

Interestingly enough, I'm getting similar errors after getting the dlltool.exe into the System32: Creating library wircd.lib and object wircd.exp ARESLIB.LIB(windows_port.obj) : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol __alld vrm WIRCD.EXE : fatal error LNK1120: 1 unresolved externals NMAKE : fatal...

I'm not entirely sure what exactly it is that you are asking, sorta confused me with the description o.O Personally on my network I make the +x cloakmode mandatory on connect, I don't force them to keep it, its a free network ya know, if they want anyone to know the host/IP behind the cloak then so ...

You need to go through the Readme Docs & FAQs for UnrealIRCd, and the Installation/Readme for Anope. http://www.vulnscan.org/UnrealIRCd/unreal32docs.html http://www.vulnscan.org/UnrealIrcd/faq/#49 (Starting there mostly) http://wiki.anope.org/Windows Should get you started on it all, take note t...

Do you have your Services listed in the U:Line block?

I do believe this is supposed to prevent it from being kicked as such like its a regular client isn't it?

All in all I was posting the two that were really largely known and being used to ping people. While I blame norton for its paranoia of course, I still would rather not have to listen to the complaints of users when their firewalls lock down on them, so I prevent it where I can. I'm aware there are ...

I dunno, I wouldn't say that offhand. You're the first person i've seen report such a thing with 3.2.4, if you WERE to use anything lower, don't go below 3.2.3, but for the time being i'd just double check again, its gotta be something there, maybe try adding in some of the optional fields, or try t...

sry, i dont understand what you say :> Basically read that guide, and just read it in a sense of where its talking about two servers, sorta toss a third one in on your own, its the same basis, just with a third server actually there also, so you would have say for example, three Link blocks for lik...

Is this also by chance after Netsplits? I've noticed with my Services to Unreal, if there is an extended Netsplit on one of the servers away from the Services server, after awhile when they are finally re-linked that server will Clear +vo/etc statuses cause their session with the Services/Nickserv e...

Whats the MOTD have to do with any of this? O_o; And assuming that you're example is not really the real Opername and Password you are using in your real O:Line block, keep in mind just incase (as sometimes it is the little things), that Usernames/Passwords for the O:Line ARE Casesensitive, so If it...

Norton Firewalls - Keylogger Exploit/Trigger

Meh, had a few problems on my network with people playing with this shit and causing people to purposely ping out. Basically (I'm sure most people have heard already) if anyone uses the terms 'startkeylogger' or 'stopkeylogger' it will cause anyone using a Symantic Norton based product with the Fire...

Are you sure its been added to the O:Line on all servers and reshashed? Perhaps they are trying to OPER up on a server with the new encrypted password not rehashed/added in yet?
