Re: new module wanted please

Well then the typical response to that is tell them not to, and if you don't trust them not to obey, then why do they have an O:Line?

Re: [Help]Cant connect to my unrealirc server...

You need to configure your router to forward port 6667 to your computers LAN IP.

Also note, depending on your router you may not be able to connect to your router's public IP (77.126.62.160, which is what you have timormirc.no-ip.org pointed to) from your LAN anyway.

Re: [Error] Unrealircd up but timedout in Mirc

@Jobe, unless no-ip actively denies it, you can certainly connect to your external IP form inside your LAN, I've been doing it for years. As long as you have a valid route, you can connect to any IP. .:11:04:. * Connecting to 72.101.108.355 (6667) - .:11:04:. [Misc] *** Looking up your hostname... ...

Re: [Error] Unrealircd up but timedout in Mirc

OK, for a start, you will only be able to connec using solister.no-ip.org from LAN's other than the one the server is on. The other issue as I can see it is you have not forwarded the ports on your router to your IRCd, that or you have a firewall in place preventing outside access to your IP or ports.

Re: [Error] Unrealircd up but timedout in Mirc

Firstly in the config you pasted includes data that shouldnt be there at all (on the first line):

Code: Select all

MS Shell Dlg 2;
Secondly, we cannot try and connect ourselves to see if the issue you're have is down to your own computer, your client or your ISP because you censored the host name.

The only possible explanation I can think of is an except tkl or except ban block that matches you.

Re: disabling private messages

This would require a module, which as far as I know does not exist yet. So you will have to find someone who can write one for you.

Re: Send mail on reg. with NickServ (Anope 1.8.6 (3072) on W

The "anopesmtp <ip>" example is correct, however it requires that an SMTP server be running on port 25 of the IP specified and allows relaying of emails by your IP without any form of authentication. If you are running Anope on windows, then you can always install IIS' SMTP server through ...

Seconded, although it would require making this block compulsory.

Re: [error] unrealircd.conf:196

2 fixes are available for this, both of which you'd have known if you'd read both the comments at the top of example.conf and the error message you received. Option 1) Remove "/*" from line 196 (LEAVE the "*/" there) and remove line 197 all together Option 2) Change line 197 from...

Re: the 'No Color Umode' module

As I understand the description, this mode ONLY applies to private PRIVSMSG and NOTICE sent to the user. It does not apply to channel PRIVMSG and NOTICE that are sent to the user. Although I may be wrong about that.

Re: Module for MAC IP

Not to mention, due to the way the Ethernet protocol works, the Ethernet addresses (or MAC addresses as some call them) are not transmitted beyond the physical network to which they are connected. That means the ONLY Ethernet address available to the OS is the Ethernet address of the LAST router/bri...

Re: Software caused connection reset.

1 GB of RAM is, extremely low, You can't run shit all on 1GB of ram, good luck running a IRCD with ~1000 connections. I switched to another server, 16GB's of RAM, 14GB's free, and it's still crashing, even when we switched to Fatalz, so it's gotta be that all 1000 of my connections crash simultaneo...
