Re: Unreal 3.2.1 crash without any problems in the log
To expand on Jobe's post: 3.2.1 is not advised and we will not provide support for it. Some of the reasons for this are: Since 3.2.1 there have been multiple exploits fixed. Added features. MANY bug fixes. Performance improvements. If you insist on running an older version, you're entirely on your ...

Re: Linking Anope and Unreal
Given the incorrect inclusion of *'s in front of a few of those lines im inclined to believe the link block is between a /* and a */ which means, as the example.conf documentation clearly states, means the block is ENTIRELY commented out. What's even more interesting is that despite a warning also i...

Re: Botserv remove mode
Assuming Anope, it is also worth noting that if the oper is the only user in the channel (ignoring botserv bots), then Anope will automatically undo any +o, even when secureops is off. The reason for this is because Anope interprets the +o on the first user that joins by seeing that the user being +...

Re: request: autoclose query and send notice
Just to elaborate on what Severus_Snape said, he is correct a server does not know when you close a query window. The reason being is the IRCd does not know nor care how your client chooses to display the information the IRCd sends, the IRCd sends ALL messages through one connection, which to the IR...

Re: block /module
I'm also curious as to why you would want to stop users from being able to see that you're not using any modules they don't like, like modules used to spy on them?

Did you remember to download the .asc file too? The reason I ask is because the signature successfully verifies for me (note: I had already imported and signed the key): [jobe@alpha ~/working]$ wget http://www.unrealircd.com/downloads/Unreal3.2.9.tar.gz --2011-12-24 12:46:44-- http://www.unrealircd....

Re: Subversion
The current version control system used for Unreal development is Mercurial (hg) the old CVS repositories are no longer used. As for my personal opinion, I feel Mercurial (hg) is better then subversion for VCS mainly due to the fact that subversion limited in comparison by way of what they can both ...
