Client Dispersal
Is there a way to set it so that when users connect to irc.server.add they are transfered to server1.irc.server.add or server2.irc.server.add? I believe the term is Round Robin...

sdm I think it's because of the amount of spam it would generate. You do realize that there are people out there who would exploit it and set that person to be repeatedly killed everytime they came online? Yea sure you could fix it by simply removing that person from your server but what's the point...

Jason I don't think they were wanting the spamfilter for repeating on the same line. I think they were asking about multiple lines being repeated. IE pressing the up key and just doing that repeatedly to flood the channel. That's why I posted the botserv stuff. If you're running Anope you can config...

I also recommend you search for a shell account. They are cheap and offer good uptime. You don't have to worry about locking the box down because that's controlled by the shell administrator. Another thing you can also do is check out something like http://www.serverpronto.com where they give you fu...

Static-X: CGI-IRC support is currently in the CVS version of Unreal. Also by CGI I am guessing that you are talking about the old CGI module which would convert CGI:IRC ip addresses and have the server automatically give the users real address instead of the applet (with the address cloaked of cours...

If you're using anope just set a bot (from botserv) to join the channel. Then type /bs help kick. You can then configure the bot to kick/ban users for things like this -BotServ- Note: access to this command is controlled by the -BotServ- level SET. -BotServ- Syntax: KICK channel option parameters -B...
