there was even a similar idea to the one on this thread,
(passed unseen as well)
somehow if ssl cert for opering up is such a good idea, I think it would
be nice to have a A.C post explaining how to use it on unrealircd...
Ill keep looking on google ;)

sdamon: forget getting the passwd from the conf, thats not in the plate, they are encrypted, and the shortest one is 16 char length... the point WAS having TWO different passwd...so if an oper f*** up and let go the passwd, it would be useless for those who could see it 'cause they dont have the vho...

the alias do what is written there, an alternative for the services nicknames, now then, make sure u have this line in unrealircd.conf: set { (...) services-server "your.services.name"; (...) }; set::services-server <server-name>; Specifies the name of the server that the services bots are...

make sure u included the default badwords files, and/or edit them to your
liking,
include "badwords.channel.conf";
include "badwords.message.conf";
include "badwords.quit.conf";

thats the standard anope alias file,
if it still doesnt work, make sure you didnt change
the nicks of the services in services.conf

make sure you have this line in the conf...
include "aliases/anope.conf";

for a better comprehension of the alias, use the documentation...

as suggested by JIVXor use * for username, but I wonder if with the bind-ip *; line in your unrealircd.conf missing everything is fine, in documentation is stated as optional, but in my 3.2.3 I cannot remove the line, unrealircd returns an error: error: unrealircd.conf:309: link::bind-ip is missing ...
