Re: Add Commands?
What did you remove anyway? I was talking about the 'static-quit' and 'static-part'...

Re: Connection Timed Out
I can connect to my IRC locally (127.0.0.1) without a problem and everything works fine.
Which one is correct? You first state that you can connect to your server and now you can't?Why can't I connect to my own server?

Re: Add Commands?
How about removing the "/*" and the "*/" ? Same goes for the static part./* static-quit "Client quit"; */
Seeing all this makes me think you perhaps don't know what you're exactly doing. Reconsider running an IRCd

Re: Connection Refused?
I really begin to wonder how good your networking skills are.
In summary:
For yourself:
[li]Connect to 127.0.0.1[/li]
For others that want to connect OUTSIDE of your LAN:
[li]Let them connect to your external IP address[/li]
If you don't know what it is, look here. It's the upper line.

Re: Connection Refused?
That will only work for you, 127.0.0.1 . Others (outside your LAN) can connect to your external IP address or hostname if you have one.

Re: Add Commands?
Taken from the docs:
set::oper-only-stats {<stats-flag>; <stats-flag>;};
Specifies a list of stats flags that can only be used by opers. This only works with long stats flags.

Re: Connection Refused?
From this post: Have your forwarded the ports in the listenblock correctly? If so, if you're trying to connect to your own computer (where the server is running), try connecting to 127.0.0.1 Try using the search function the next time: it gives you a quicker answer and it doesn't make anyone typing ...

Re: Add Commands?
I think it should be like this:
You missed the wildcard " * ", which should be there as "#" is also a channel.deny channel {
channel "#*";
reason "Ndalohet hapja e kanaleve te reja. Kanal kryesor eshte #ALbaChat";
redirect "#ALbaChat";
};

Re: rude irc
How about asking it very nicely and perhaps, if you edit your post a little bit, it may get removed!

Re: Room For OPS only
Ops by the meaning of Chanops or by the meaning of IRC operators?
Chanops: If you don't use services, it isn't possible other than ban *!*@* and set an exeption for every chanop
If you do: add them to the access list and set restricted on. (<- Anope)
IRC operators: Just set chanmode +O.

Re: IrcDefender
Could it have something to do with the Israeli organisation which turned out to log the chats of several networks? I've heard they operated from several countries. I unfortuantely don't know from what countries..

Re: IrcDefender
Hmm, thanks for the information. I don't have any French people connecting, so I just banned the whole ISP.
Do you know by the way wheter there is some organisation sending them or what they do? As far as I found out they just sit in a(n) (empty) empty channel and do like nothing...

Re: IrcDefender
I don't think you need IRCDefender for that, as they connect from like two hostnames, so it would be a lot easier to just ban them manually. At least, that helps the best over here
Good luck and if you find out something more about it, please let me know !

Re: IrcDefender
By any chance they use nicknames like lidl22, lola22 ? (It's off-topic, I know, but those bots also connect to my server and I find it very annoying and I want to know who'se sending them..)
