Right you wont tell us what the error message you get is so we really cant help .

Try connecting anope and give us ...

1 Any error anope gives you . 2 Any message given to you by unreal .

And we want EXACT messages not "it says it doesnt like me or something"

Read the documentation with it and make sure you have it configured correctly .

Also giving us the the exact error can help .

From what you have written so far we have .
i go to anope service to start it and he say prob with SLL something like that??
We can determine nothing from that .

Links in that thread allow you to download a services package of your choice. Go with one of the recommended services .

Nickserv,chanserv,operserv etc are all included in a "services" package .

check your oper block carefully . Does it give you any hint when you /oper as to what is wrong ? . Any linux client will do . Sure one of em will allow you to do it . Got to ask why you want a bot in chan that does nothing tho . Is it just to keep the channel open ? .

Make your own bot . Get a clean client ie mirc and set it to join all channels on connect . Easy :D

You can also add some code to your script to +q you in all channels . Thats what I do with my admins .

Are you trying to connect to it yourself ? . If so it wont work you need to connect over 127.0.0.1 . If ppl over the net cant get in then thats another issue . Check for software firewalls etc .

I suspect you have a room set to private . This turns the channel name to a * . It vanishes when you /oper as opers can see private rooms . Look for the addition to your /list :P

With the proper modes and access levels set then your users cant do a lot with chanserv anyway . Check your chanserv commands help and see how to change access levels .
