Upgraded Forums

Well with the recent site upgrades done by NBishop I felt it was also time to update the forums for some nice new features so here it is. We're running phpBB3 RC4 now. We'll have better spam bot protection and more user functionality! Enjoy!

At present there is no way to ban using ctcp versions and it is strongly not recommended. Most bots and clients can mimic a CTCP version or change their version every time. 2dish their idling usually has less of an effect on your bandwidth than someone actively talking. If they are transfering movies or files they're doing it from their computer to the other persons.

Well... if the bot is doing it as a notice then it doesn't matter. The spamfilter just needs to be setup to gline the notice with whatever keyword he chooses (such as the !killme) and the spamfilter will only nuke people who send the notice saying "!killme."

Turbo_boy if you're running your net with multiple versions of Unreal it can cause the splits. you need to get all the servers onto the same version.
