ircservices itself isn't made for windows, but a tprecompiled version for windows can be found at http://ircpage.hu/ircservices/ although it isn't the latest version

you need to add a services package , ircservices can be downloaded at http://www.ircservices.za.net , there are other services as well not just ircservices

with IRCServices you would have to have raw commands enabled in operserv and use a raw to force a nick change

i've never had a problem myself using 127.0.0.1 either, but it is in the IRCServices FAQ mentioning the use of localhost having some problems on some systems

IRCServices has problems on some systems using 127.0.0.1, try changing the ip address it is using if thats what you are using, and also could help if you posted you link block from both unreal and IRCServices with the passwords taken out

personally i don't care about individual users sharing mp3's etc on my network, but i won't allow channels specifically for trading warez.

the biggest problem i can see is in worms being transfered over irc, without seeing the file name there is no way to help protect the users on the network

i don't have a problem with the unreal spamfilters, personally i think it's great to see it in the ircd the way it is so as to stop viri.trojans etc being spread. i like adwords though for other other reasons, as it gives more flexibilty to set things up the way i want to on my server, and with the ...

personally i'm sticking to a modified version of angywolf's adwords for general spam, and will be looking into adding the spamfilters for the rest later, would be nice to know if adwords works ok on rc2 though before i upgrade to rc2
