I'm not at liberty to disclose any more information here, but I can say that at least one person used the 0-day exploit on this board, and installed a bnc. Thankfully he's now gone, and all his IP's have been logged and passed onto the relevant authorities. I shall be keeping a close eye personally ...

I know the people who run this forum discourage just 'rtfm', so, i'll try and add a bit more meat to it. Open example.conf, and search for NSRegDelay *EDIT* Also see NickRegDelay to prevent users from connecting and automatically registering. (Assuming you use Anope, because you never said WHAT Serv...

I suggest you re-read all documentation again, and again for good luck. You DO NOT include the services.conf file into Unreal! Unreal couldn't care less what config file Anope uses, as they are two seperate programs! As a reference, I suggest you follow http://heinz.anope.org/ilm.php from the start,...

1) This isn't the right forum to post this.
2) You will only find the official compiled versions of Unreal for download.
3) I suggest you read the documentation on how to compile Unreal for yourself.

You will need a compiler (preferably, and probably recommended, MSVC6 or Above).

Something like auspice or anope?
Whats wrong with these two then? You'll be hard pushed to find any services better than Anope *cough* :)

According to the database, heper was quoting the same postid that he typed up. The bbcode for the post shows that the bbcode_uid is the exact same one as the quote is in. Must have edited it or something, can't find any reference of the quoted text anywhere else in the db.

It appears that a post has been deleted between the OP post, and yours AngryWolf.

I suggest codematr (or someone with admin access) looks in the mod logs to see if it was deleted. If required, I will look in the database later to see if the post exists there.

Apart from digging up an old thread (which is evil in itself :P), Anope don't, and will never support the use of RAW on ANY network. RAW is an ugly hack that passes commands DIRECTLY to the server without ANY validation WHATSOEVER. If used incorrectly it can and most probably will cause your server ...

codemastr is correct, Anope doesn't support SSL, so make sure the port it's connecting to is a non-ssl port, and ensure that there are no ssl/zip flags in the link block.

Thats the LINK block. Not the LISTEN block. They are two different things.

The link block starts:

link your.server.name.here {

whilst the listen block starts:

listen your.ip.address.here:port {

Also you have Services connecting on port 6666 which you have no listen block in the unrealircd.conf for. Which I told you was the problem 2 days ago.
Can we see the listen blocks as well then?

Although my opinion on other services packages will be biased, i felt that I just had to reply to this thread. You need to define what exactly "the best services" are. Just because they have more pseudoclients, or they have a windows version, doesn't make them the best. Good services are o...
