The only Unreal problem you could have really with BOPM is it not checking proxies right, and you need to uncomment this line: # perform = "PROTOCTL HCN"; so it looks like: perform = "PROTOCTL HCN"; Otherwise, check your IRC server it connects to, and the host it BINDS to.

How do we fix it?

This started after something happened with the box it was on. Either it rebooted or lost internet connection, it's on a shell type server. When it came back, it started doing this.

We found it. It seems someone deleted the whole user dir which wiped out the ircd dir as well. The ircd was just running from memory so I just installed a new ircd and killed the old process.

For an easy non-modulized way, I use a mIRC script.

It's simple and does the trick.

Add this to remotes, remove the ';' in front, change the words to look for and then do a /stats g

Connection Issues

I don't know if anyone has had this problem since upgrading to 3.2 final or not, but it seems it only has started happening since then. Every once in awhile, we get a lot of connection reset by peers. It happens on random servers and shouldn't be the shell provider, it hasn't happen previous to 3.2 ...
