google wont turn to your dns server.. if you have no domain or cant edit dns records then it wont work. but you can use the ip and register free domains if you want.

hideserver gives more lines than it should give. like you can set to hide all your servers, but the one which you are on will always be there. so /links will always work, but will give you the warning/msg that you are not allowed to see this. use what dontcry suggested. :) restric-commands are easie...

no..
this is why i wrote: you should have the domain name you want, and set a record on it to point the name (irc.servername.com) towards your ip address.
without it, you cannot reach your irc server via dns, just with an ip.

maybe you started it already once? i mean can you just do a
$ ps -ef | grep unreal
and
$ netstat -anp | grep LISTEN | egrep "6900|6697"
and
$ ifconfig
and sahre the ouput? pastebin, or anything like that?

well, if you have your vps and domain from the same provider, then that can be true. i guess.
anyway.. domain admin page, A record or any other option like CNAME.. (if a domain already points to an ip, so there just an other name alias..) etc.. etc..

in your panel? what? vps panels are only setting rdns.. or at least thats what i know. but.. the problem here is that the domain is not resolved by the dns servers, cuz i think its not set. this needs to be done via the domain settings (like the provider who he registered the domain with.. they usua...

so the problem is that your client is way outdated. unreal4 didnt care soo much about tls/ssl :) you can read about this in the release news / highlights. please upgrade your mirc or try to use something else. (or, just change things in your conf, like ssl protocol and ciphers; but i wouldnt recomme...
