Re: Website contest: main site
For security, I would recommend installing SSL on the website, and only serving it securely. The Forum traffic can be intercepted etc. You can get a free ssl cert that has 93% browser/os compatability from https://www.startssl.com/. They are far beyond CA Cert in that they are accepted. We even got ...

Re: Link Cancelled Spam
That is the issue. The servers are all connected. But my question is, why does it continue to try to connect even though they are all connected together. What I'm really want to know, is if it the hub trying to connect to the servers, or are the servers trying to connect to the hub. IOW. When this m...

Re: Hiding the userlist from IRC Users
/mode #chan +u
do it on every channel. That however only hides the users from /who and /names. It doesn't not prevent whois, or stop the userlist for users joined to the channel

Re: Link Cancelled Spam
Further Troubleshooting: Changed connfreq to 120 secs on hub Changed connfreq to 600 secs on all leafs Regenerated a self-signed cert on hub The CA signed certs on the leafs is irc.xxxx with 4096 encryption (All the same cert). I'm wondering if the 4096 or the fact that they are all the same cert is...

Re: Hiding the userlist from IRC Users
I don't think your going to be able to do away with the user list. It's just how IRC works. The best you could do is set all of the channels +s for secret, but once again pointless. /whois, you would have to know the nick of the person you are doing it on. Best you could do, is write a mod to make /...

Re: [REQUEST] m_age.c
This sound's more like a services modules (no offense). You would need to have the users register accounts with an age option in the profile. Non-regged users would be automatically set to under 13 option until they register. But then you are still dealing with enforcing the age issue, as on most On...

Re: Link Cancelled Spam
Scratch that. It appears the the hub, even though connected to all the servers is trying to connect to them. I don't understand though, as I have turned off autoconnect yet it still happens. But it is trying to connect to EVERY server.

Re: Stumped (SSL linking problem)
Can't update base lenny as I have to install a new kernal. I will probably update the kernal soon, just don't feel like it right now. But I'm pretty sure this is part of the issue.

Re: Stumped (SSL linking problem)
Sorry. My internet is flakey so I can't get on every day. Damn Wileblue. Here are the results: Hub OpenSSL 0.9.8g 19 Oct 2007 Server/Leaf OpenSSL 1.0.0e 6 Sep 2011 I will try upgrading OpenSSL on the hub, as I can control it. However all of our leafs are shared hosting, so I have no control over them
