Re: is these Hooks global ?
Any hook a module uses will only apply to the local server. To have a module work globally the module will need to be loaded on all servers.

Re: Problem with Coutroom module..
That is interesting. In that case, try restarting Unreal. Keep in mind that Unreal might not restart and may need to be recompiled.

Re: Problem with Coutroom module..
You are running UnrealIRCd 3.2.8. Your modules are all compiled as 3.2.9. This likely happened as a result of someone doing an upgrade to 3.2.9 by compiling version 3.2.9 and placing it in the same directory as 3.2.8. You need to restart your IRCd in order to get everything running the proper versio...

Re: "/join #chan override" channel mode +z
"/join #chan override" is not the proper method to override modes or bans on a channel. You always need to invite yourself into the channel. If the channel is +z and the oper is not +z, the oper will still be unable to join (as I recall). +z will need to be removed for a non-SSL oper to jo...

Re: Plese help me .. I need a mudule.!!!
We do not support hiding LINKS and MAP commands because it does not add any extra security. Please read the following FAQ for information on why disabling MAP and LINKS does nothing to protect your server/network: http://unrealircd.com/index/faq#88

Re: Unreal IRCd & the 05-Jun-2014 OpenSSL vulns
We have looked into the advisory, and it appears 6 of the 7 issues reported do not apply to UnrealIRCd. The issue that applies is the vulnerability in MITM which requires both the server AND client to be running a vulnerable version of OpenSSL to work. We will update the Windows compile with new Ope...

Re: Unreal IRCd & the 05-Jun-2014 OpenSSL vulns
What version of OpenSSL is your server running? You may find out by doing a /version as an oper on your server. If you have OpenSSL version 1.0.0 or 1.0.1, you'll need to wait until we can get together a new release or patch for Windows. You can try to replace the OpenSSL DLL files, though as I reca...

Re: Networks In Need Of Servers
We don't recommend that people do not link with servers and/or networks without knowing the person running them. Linking with someone means there needs to full trust between both sides of the link since anyone linking a server has full access and can gain full control of a network. If you have 4 ser...

Re: Compiling with a Windows 2000 SP4 target (3.2.10.2)
Windows 2000 is a very old operating system (14 years!) and support will be hard to come by. We can only really help with currently supported versions of Windows (Vista, 7, 8, 2003, 2008, 2012), as UnrealIRCd is designed to run on fully featured and up-to-date operating systems. The only thing I can...

Re: Periodical "Connection reset by peer"
There are many things that could be happening here, and being just a couple users this is happening to it is likely something with those users connection or network hardware. The following come to mind off the top of my head: The user's router disconnects idle connections after X minutes - in this c...

Re: UnrealIRCd Crash
I never recommend running a server and expecting it to hold steady with more than 500 users. When having so many users connected to a single server, there is a very large amount of bandwidth that will be consumed by the IRCd, along with very high CPU and memory usage to maintain and process all the ...

Re: Unreal motd problems with format
When using ASCII in the MOTD, the client must be using the same "font family" that the ASCII was originally drawn in. Most ASCII art is done with a monospace font, meaning every character has the same exact spacing on the screen. Many modern clients use a variable-space font (like Ariel or...
