Expected downtime

Post by Syzop »

The main site, forums and bugtracker are being moved to another server.

This can cause some severe downtime (up to 12h), due to extremely bad timing. I'll try to minimise downtime though.

Forums / bugtracker are likely to be "locked" starting 23:00 UTC, to prevent any "parallel world" situations when we get a nameserver split.. Ok, just don't ask ;P.

Thanks :p.

Forums and bugs are now moved to the new server, but dns has not been updated yet due to the dns box being down (lovely timing, as usual).
So you have a 50% chance of getting on the forums/bugtracker ;P

I'm having more trouble with moving unrealircd.com though :(

And DNS is now fully updated (and will only take up to 30 minutes to fully synch).

Some problems with unrealircd.com have also been resolved.

I think you broke the bug tracker... it isn't sorting the bugs

Ill second that. Theyre sorted in completly the wrong order so the oldest ones are at the top.

Guess why I wrote something about that in the bugtracker news thingy ;)
Sort order problem in bugtracker - 2006-10-11 08:43

The bugtracker currently has the problem that the sorting in "view issues" is not working. This happened after the server move, and seems to be a problem in the bugtracker software 'mantis' (reported by 3 different people on their bugtracker).

Other than that, I think the rest of the bugtracker works fine.

Yeah we're having some fun problems today. Fixed atm again, but will reoccur in a few hours.

On a positive note, the sorting order in bugs* has been fixed

The forums were also down this morning (I'm in GMT+2). That was about... 7-8 hours ago. Just in case you didn't know about it.

I noticed one of our nameservers was announcing incorrect information since yesterday, this has now been fixed.
