All UnrealIRCd sites are now using https:// URL's. When you surf to http://www.unrealircd.org/ you will be redirected to the secure https://www.unrealircd.org/ site.
Existing URL's are automatically converted, so other than seeing a padlock icon you shouldn't notice anything.
This is all just to add a little security, especially for sites requiring logins or who may show private content such as the forums and the bug tracker.
If you see any odd things after this change or experience any problems, please do let me know at [email protected].
Only downside so far is that I had to disable remote avatars on the forums, as this would throw up a warning (mixed HTTP & HTTPS content). We're looking into other solutions...
PS: *.unrealircd.com is redirected to *.unrealircd.org from now on as well, so you'll always see *.unrealircd.org in the address bar.
All UnrealIRCd sites using HTTPS now
Re: All UnrealIRCd sites using HTTPS now
A few major issues on these forums have been fixed now. Users were unable to sign up and existing users were asked repeatedly for their credentials. Apparently phpBB doesn't play well with SSL proxies/accelerators.
Additionally, the board has been updated to phpBB 3.1.x series.

Re: All UnrealIRCd sites using HTTPS now
Hmm. Apparently I (also) left the forums on non-HTTPS by default which caused some issues. From now on it's always HTTPS.
