global notices

Post by Jay »

hey,

Problem at hand, if the services (anope , last release) send a global notice to everybody, we don't seem to see it. Altough it's send. Neostats' secureserv sees it , but nobody else does.

/mode +sw won't help.

other notices, like glines etc we see, private notices, channel notices etc are fine, only the global notice from the anope services is invisible to us.
on the beta 19 it worked, since we switched to rc1 it didn't work.

any suggestions?

btw services are ulined

The problem is NOT the ircd it is with how you have services configured.
to quote the services.conf file

# NetworkDomain <name> [OPTIONAL]
#
# If your network has a common domain name, specify it there (for
# example, all IRCZONE servers have a name ending in ".irczone.cl",
# so "irczone.cl" would be set there. It will be used by the OperServ
# GLOBAL command, and if you don't have a common domain name, this
# command may just not work.
#
# You can specify more than one Network Domain by separating each one by
# a space: NetworkDomain "localnet.net localnet.com"

NetworkDomain "localnet.com"

This question comes up often when people misconfigure services

I too dont belive this is a question to be asked in this section of the forum.
And your problem is about the services and not irc related.

I don't think that he originally thought that it was services related.
