Crontab script for SolarStats

Hey, well I'm not real good with writing scripts of this sort. So I was wondering if anyone could help me with this. I need a script that checks to make sure SolarStats is running and starts it if it doesn't (much like the ircdchk in Unreal3.2/ircdcron). SolarStats has a .pid file and all that good stuff...so I would think it could be done. Thanks, greatly appreciated. ^^
