server-to-server protocol

Post by ongeboren »

Hi forum,

My network will probably undergo a migration from hybrid to unreal in the following one or two months. There are several services that have to be rewritten in order to be able to work in the new environment.

Could you please provide information on where documentation of the server-to-server communication can be found.

Your answer will be highly appreciated.

Regards,

The server-server protocol isn't that well documented (well, I haven't found any such documentation, unless I've been looking in the wrong places for it). Your best bet would be a look at the source code. You can also try downloading IRCServices, if only to take a look at the differences between the hybrid and Unreal protocol modules; that might help out also.

You could try checking out winse's Unreal protocol module
(see http://www.sf.net/projects/winse - go to view cvs, WinSE.NET, modules, protocol, Unreal, unreal.vb)

That should help you some.

The current protocol version is 2306.
