anope services and sqline channel

Post by Bitas »

Probably to add the channel in sqline from anope services?
/msg OperServ add +expiry #channel reason
Server say: Channel SQLINEs are not supported by your IRCd, so you can't use them.
Maybe there is a module which do something like this?
Need tool to close the channels with expiring option.
Thank you.

You use Anope? So why not use Anope's "/msg ChanServ FORBID" or "/msg ChanServ SUSPEND" commands? They have the same effect. And both prevent usage of channels by non-opers.

Yes, using Anope services.
FORBID command cancelled by dropping the channel. Maybe it canceled on channel expire too?
SUSPEND - good command but cancelled by using the UNSUSPEND by hands.
I would like specify expire time to cancel.

You cannot sqline a channel on Unreal. It has been suggested a few times, and I believe it is on the TODO list for upcomming versions.

Why not just use the deny channel block and rehash the server? i know it sounds little difficult but isn't that exactly what you want? to permanently forbid a channel?
