Anyone else seeing this crap going around lately?

What ip address? Ban the damn subnet. I mean you'll be bothered until your spammer friend get a girlfriend/boyfriend or something that maintains him/her busy. Or your opers will have work from time to time in the topic of spamfilter. You should begin to document them from now on.

Could just spamfilter alienware :P

JIVXor: A lot of times these are spambots on random proxies. Which means vastly different netblocks. Possible solution: install a proxy scanner.

That's true and it also fits the possibility that the proxy is not registered in the application. So, get a proxy scanner and upgrading it.
