blocking a web address

Post by da127 »

Attempting to block messages containing http://aur-l.somsite.org (ok not really, but the length/formatting is exactly the same)

Target: cpnN
Action: block

This is the first i tried... thought it would be my winner. Unfortunately the messages seemed to pass right through it.
Regex: .*aur-l\.somsite\.org.*

seems this post is needless... it would appear that opers are exempt from triggering spamfilters with block actions (please correct me if im mistaken)

Yes, opers are of course exempt. This is clearly documented.

http://www.vulnscan.org/UnrealIRCd/unre ... spamfilter
Spamfilters added with /spamfilter are network-wide. They work regardless of whether the user/channel has mode +G set, only opers and ulines (services) are exempted from filtering.
If you don't make mistakes, you aren't really trying.
