i have my .conf configure, how can i start it, if im behind router n firewall can it still be run?

Yes, assuming your setup your firewall and router to allow the connections to come through.

what port should i put so they could bypass and connect to it?

Whichever ports you specified in unrealircd.conf

Look for something like:

Code: Select all

listen *:6667;
The 6667 tells you the port number.
Obviously you will need to setup a firewall/router port for each port number listed in listen.

Sorry, but your firewalling/routing problem is not exactly an Unreal issue, therefore this is not the best place to ask about it. But you can ask Google, if you want.

If your behind a router/firewall you need to forward whatever ports unreal is listening on in order for connections to pass through. If you have no clue what I'm talking about then you should do some looking through your router manual and read up a bit on both the ircd and operation of your router. :)
