Post by topdog »

I was wondering how do I remotely edit the unrealircd.conf file? As in to add oper blocks and such.

Install a FTPd on the computer, then you can download the config, edit it, upload it and rehash IRCd.

SCP FTW! I like my WinSCP ^.^ Just remember though if you download the conf and edit it then upload it make sure you do it repeatedly if you ever edit it via MC in SSH.

sChutt: Telnet FTW?!?! SSH ONLY. Telnet sends your password to your server in plain text over an untrusted network full of hackers.
Why the hell can't my signature be empty?
