WoW I'm not sure if I want to laugh or cry. Why would anyone make you an irc operation if you aren't of any use? I'm not trying to be mean, but when you add 1+1 you'll always get 2... in this case it just don't add up... Like Ron2k said, read the fucking manual. explains pretty much any irc command for Unreal.

According to ircservices FAQ, it is "Read the Fine Manual," with "Fine" possibly substituted for something else...

But, as they said, RTFM.

I've read the faq.
My problem is, i'm a netadmin, i have the flags can_setq and can_override but after i operd myself i tried: /mode #channel +q mynickname

In that channel i dont had a +o, but i cant give myself a +q. What am i doing wrong????

Channel mode +q is really only supposed to be set by Services (although services admin and net admin can set it too if they have can_override)

What error messages are you getting?

Add your self to Services if you have them

cmd: /operserv mode #channel +q Nick

That should work if not i dident write this post :?

ps.. not really sure why you want to mode your self +q on channel you dont have +o on..... *Thinks* Abusing your powers ???

well you don't get +q unless you are registred with services and with that channel.... so anything out side of that is abuse...

He can't because he doesn't read the previous posts.... I clearly stated that you need can_override inorder to change modes like +q....

can_setq, again, had you read the manual you would know, is for USERMODE +q, NOT channel mode +q. So of course having can_setq makes no difference here.

the whole processes is stupid and pointless, if you have an o:line with can_override, you can change whatever needs to be changed....
