Permission Denied

Post by mighty_falcon »

Hello :)

i have been running unrealircd for about a month now and running prety smooth. I hadnt really needed to ban or shun anyone yet till today.

I tried shunning and then get
Permission Denied- You do not have the correct IRC operator privileges
I have these flags in my oper block for me
netadmin;
global;
can_gkline;
can_override;
services-admin;
I can ban through the services fine but i would like to use UNrealircd for this...

all the other oper commands work fine except, shun & gline :S anyother flags i should add or did i find a bug?

First: Can you paste the whole oper block? (Change your passwords or something)
Secondly: Are you opering up before attempting the gline/shun?

Something seems to have gone pie-shaped here...

"swhois "W00t an IRCOP"; "

Yet, in the whois, there is no "W00t an IRCOP" line.
I dont have my o:line here (cant ssh from my current location) but here's my whois:

[11:27] *** w00t [[email protected]]: [cb291ffd] CGI:IRC User
[11:27] *** w00t is using modes +iowghraAsxNWt
[11:27] *** w00t is connecting from *@ns1.vectracomm.com
[11:27] *** registered: is a registered nick
[11:27] *** channels: #network.staff ~#thelounge
[11:27] *** server: zero.netronet.org [Zero: where we dream]
[11:27] *** ircop: is a Network Administrator
[11:27] *** w00t is available for help.
[11:27] *** w00t netroNET Yay!
[11:27] *** idle: 283 signon: Tue Jun 8 01:09:37 2004
[11:27] *** End of /WHOIS list.

Note the netroNET Yay! line. That's my swhois. So my guess is you are opering to a different oline... One that doesnt have can_gkline.

If he is using Auspice-family services... they change your SWHOIS.
