Depends: openssl, debconf, libc6 (>= 2.3.6-6), libcomerr2 (>= 1.33-3), libcurl3 (>= 7.15.5-1), libidn11 (>= 0.5.18), libkrb53 (>= 1.4.2), libssl0.9.8 (>= 0.9.8c-1), libtre4, zlib1g (>= 1:1.2.1)

it's what needed to build unreal with all features: remote include, ssl + zip

libssl-dev, libzlib-dev (or smth like it, don't remember).

Using windows apps with Linux: http://www.codeweavers.com/products/ While CrossOver is a paid application so most cheapskates will dodge it or warez it, it's a fairly descent app and isn't all that expensive compared to of some of the apps it'll run. Codeweaver is based on Wine but IMHO far more user friendly and worth the money.

Games like solitaire are already around for Linux natively as well as some PC games and some PC like games. For example if you like First Person Shooters like Doom or Quake, then see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fr ... n_shooters for a list of FreeWare FPSs that work Linux, Mac and windows.

As far as getting these applications to to work for you, I can't help much since I really don't use ubuntu.
