I have one user that isnt getting the cloaked prefix from the config file when they connect. Any ideas on why that would happen?

If I understand correctly, you're saying he is getting cloaked, but without the cloak prefix? Like instead of [email protected] he's just [email protected]?

Is it anything like this by any chance:
* [blargman] (~[email protected]): Unknown

If it is, then the user's IP couldnt be resolved into a host so the whole IP was cloaked instead.

It's not the IP address. The IP does resolve to a FQDN. This is clearly visible to all users opers or otherwise. No prefix, not hidden host at all and not a Vhost done by the server either.

This is the host:
static-87-79-236-121.netcologne.de

This is an example of one of our cloaked users: (not the same domain)
Psi-3C664C19.ed.shawcable.net

So from what you're saying it would seem that the user doesnt get user mode +x (cloaks your host)

Do you by any chance have more then one server on the network, and this user is for example, connecting to another server, which is set up not to give user mode +x on connect?

Either that or is the user manually removing +x after connecting?

Yes there is more than one server but we have a common network config file so they all should be giving +x on connection. I will have to double check to see if the user is taking this mode off when he connects the next time.

Thanks
