For example, my domain-name is google.com , but in my configs i have my "ip" of my server everywhere. So what do i have to do to let my irc server connect one: irc.google.com

first you have to register the domain and then just typ in your client /server irc.google.com ?

I have done that.. but ppl tell me i have to edit the .conf files & do someting with the DNS..

The IRCd's config has NOTHING to do with the DNS for your domain name. What you do need to do is somehow, through your DNS hosting, add a host that points to your servers IP.

I have added A record on godaddy, tried to connect but couldn't connect..

sometimes the record take 24 to 48 hours to propagate, anyway look if the domain point to a correct IP. now i ask can you connect using the Ip address?

Are you by any chance trying to connect to the public IP of your router, from your own LAN?

It's fixed. Did something wrong in the godaddy control panel.
